MOM 4R MARINES has contacted BrigGen Nicholson, the Commanding General of the 2nd MEB (Camp Leatherneck), offering to build a Memorial Monument for all the Fallen of 2d MEB (Marine Expeditionary Brigade). The intentions are to have tMemorial Monument on the grounds of Camp Lejeune N.C., home to the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade.

The 2d MEB General ( BrigGen Larry Nicholson) has accepted this gift pending final approval from the USMC. This tribute will include ALL Units and Battalions that have lost their brothers who have been attached with the 2d MEB.

We need many donation to mkae this relaity---Costs should never be an object when assuring our Fallen Warriors will NEVER be forgotten.  This monument most likely will not be completed  by mid- spring.  This is a monumental undertaking that will take months to complete from the time we order the granite, have it designed, cut, and engraved with all the names of our fallen, to the time it is placed on its foundation at Camp Lejeune.

The design: This monument will incorporate a unique design that will be universally identifiable by any Marine or Sailor who has ever served in Afghanistan or Iraq.  This design is commonly known as the TEXAS BARRIER; the barrier is a 7 foot by 8 foot concrete inverted T shaped wall like structure, which is utilized to protect buildings, OP’s (Out Posts) and Firm Bases from direct fire, indirect fire, observation, and or suicide blasts.  These barriers are a very common sight to our Marines and Sailors in Afghanistan.
Everyone who passes by will immediately recognize the unique shape.

MOM 4R MARINES participated in honoring the Fallen Warriors of RCT-5 (Regimental Combat Team 5) in 2007 by contributing  to a memorial of this same design, which now stands outside the 5th Regiment Headquarters at Camp San Mateo located on the Marine Corps base of Camp Pendleton, California.

Fund-raising for this project must start immediately to insure total success.  America must show our pride, deepest respect, and gratitude to those who gave their lives, to better the lives of the Afghanistan Citizens.  Rest assured this memorial will be an everlasting tribute.

Please forward this mission to all of your contacts. WE need YOUR assistance to make this happen!
These brave young Warriors are now Angels watching over their brothers.

Please help us make this everlasting tribute possible, honoring these brave young Warriors, their families, the Marines, Sailors and their units who have lost their brothers.

God Bless all our Marines, Sailors and “Special Angels"
